PLANET Technology, a leading global provider of IP-based networking products and solutions, upholds a people-oriented philosophy and has long invested in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and sustainable talent development. In 2026, PLANET received the CommonWealth Talent Sustainability Award and ranked 1st for Mid-sized Enterprises. This year, PLANET highlighted AI governance and workforce empowerment, along with age-friendly long-term care retention and a holistic health support system for employees, families, and society.
CommonWealth magazine, the award organizer, recognized PLANET’s project, “Empowering the New Generation with AI and Enhancing Sustainable Competitiveness through AI Governance.” Judges especially praised PLANET for focusing not only on AI tools, but on a “governance first, application second” approach.
AI Governance: Governance First, Application Second
As generative AI rose, PLANET chose to build governance before deployment. Guided by four pillars: governance foundation, workforce empowerment, practical application, and innovation diffusion, PLANET established a cross-functional AI promotion team, issued Generative AI Usage Guidelines, and created data risk classifications for clear usage boundaries. Since 2026, AI capability has also been included in KPI requirements, with every employee expected to build a personal AI assistant.
Across 12 departments, PLANET accumulated 75 AI use cases and 29 process automation projects, achieving 100% departmental participation. PLANET also launched its first internal “AI Oscar” competition in 2026 to turn individual experience into organizational capability, while extending AI into intelligent surveillance, smart energy, cybersecurity, and cloud management solutions.
Long-term Care Retention: Supporting Employees and Retaining Talent
As Taiwan enters a super-aged society in 2025, around 150,000 people leave work each year due to caregiving needs. With PLANET employees averaging over 40 years old and more than 60% having over five years of service, the company upgraded long-term care support from an employee benefit to a talent retention strategy. Identify risks, meet needs, and retain talent are the three pillars to support employees financially, with time, information, and psychological care. In 2026, PLANET further connected policies with services through long-term care partnerships and accessible transportation. Its turnover rate has stayed below 10% over the past three years.
Health Ecosystem: Employees × Families × Society
PLANET’s Health Ecosystem is built on three themes: starting with oneself, extending to family, and giving back to society. For employees, PLANET provides free annual health checks, promotes vegetarian meals, exercise, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) support. For families, it offers dependent health checks, marriage and childcare subsidies, and long-term care resources. For society, PLANET extends its impact through Family Day, 21 consecutive years of blood donation, and a charity walking campaign. These efforts have earned several recognitions, including the Ministry of Labor’s Sustainable Leading Enterprise in Healthy Workforce, the Ministry of Sports’ Sports Enterprise Certification and the CommonWealth Parenting Magazine’s Family Friendly Workplace Award.
Through AI governance, age-friendly retention practices, and holistic health support for employees, families, and society, PLANET combines structured systems with a people-centered approach so every employee can grow through learning, feel secure through care, and move forward through shared good. The company will continue strengthening AI governance and talent development, making sustainability part of everyday practice.
